How do I determine eligibility?
The key to a hospice referral is knowing when your patient meets the eligibility requirements. In general, an appropriate patient has a six month (or less) prognosis and is seeking palliative rather than curative treatment. However, different diagnoses have specific, established guidelines to assist you in determining eligibility.
